Slow Motion

It took me a while to get into Animal Collective but once I gave them a blast I was hooked. Their front man Panda Bear has some wicked solo albums too. Check out an interview with the man himself and the video for his track Slow Motion from his excellent Tomboy album below.

Thursday

I stumbled across these guys recently and they have a nice My Bloody Valentine vibe about them. From New Orleans Belong..

Sunday

Trish Keenan R.I.P

Very sad news this week to hear that Trish Keenan from Broadcast had passed away. She had a beautiful and unique voice. R.I.P.

Limit To Your Love

Some beautiful music from Mr James Blake for a nice Sunday soundtrack. Big things are gonna happen for this man in 2011. Enjoy!

These Days

I discovered this track only recently when I flipped over Joy Division's "Love will tear us apart" single. "These Days" is a tune that just blew me away. How they did not think think was worthy to appear on "Unknown Pleasures" bewilders me. It shows how Joy Division were pioneers of electronic/indie music but it show even more what a genius their producer Martin Hannett was. Joy Division and Hannett were a dream combination in a pre pro tools era I find the way Hannett used Joy Division like his own instruments amazing. Check out "These Days" below.
